Welcome to the Church of Saint Peter Claver! We are a Roman Catholic parish in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Our founding purpose and continuing mission is to reach out to and be a faith home for African-American Catholics. People of all races and ethnic backgrounds are welcome. Grounded in the fullness of the Roman Catholic tradition, we draw particular strength from our rootedness in Africa, which teaches us resilient faith and perseverance, hospitality, and participatory worship.
—Matthew 25: 35-36
The leadership at Saint Peter Claver is committed to protecting children and vulnerable adults. We have procedures in place to implement Archdiocesan safe environment policies and best practices. Employees, as well as volunteers who interact with minors and vulnerable adults, must complete the Essential 3 (E3) requirements prior to beginning service. This includes a criminal Background Check, signing a Code of Conduct, and completing Safe Environment Training. E3 re-credentialing is required every three years. If you have any questions regarding our safe environment practices or would like more information on what is needed to volunteer, contact our Safe Environment Coordinator: Jane Mitchell at [email protected], 651.646.1797. Additional resources, including details on how to report suspected child abuse, are available from the Archdiocese at:
